Jazz

Claire plays tenor saxophone and is a local rising star in St. Louis jazz circles. Henry plays piano and is a graduate of Webster University’s jazz studies program and cites Bill Evans as one of his major influences. He has plans to begin a MA program in jazz performance in Vienna Austria.

Brought together at Webster University, Claire Maue and Henry Kress have been playing jazz together for about a year. Kress, hailing from the KC area, and Maue, a STL native, blend the two sides of Missouri with inspiration from Stan Getz and Stanley Turrentine, to Jimmy Smith and Herbie Hancock.
