Rock’N’Roll goddess
Viva plays guitar like a flaming sword, a screaming train, a ringing bell, and a scratching chicken. She sings like if Freddy Mercury had been a woman. She is influenced by diverse artists and styles including Jimi Hendrix, Dolly Parton, NYC, disco and jam band music, and has played everywhere from Bonnaroo, the Monterey Jazz Fest and the Sydney Opera House. She has produced sell out music, burlesque and variety shows at The Slipper Room and Joe's Pub and is one of the few females to be featured in Guitar Player Magazine.
She is currently a full-time musician on the touring and local music and theater scene in NYC, performing in Heather Christian's Show, “TERCE”, a NYTimes Critics Pick. Next up, she'll be performing at BAMHarvey in Taylor Mac's Show “Bark of Millions” which premiered October 2023 at the Sydney Opera House. “In one of the show’s highlights, electric guitarist Viva DeConcini emerges from the edges, shredding so infernally that the rafters of the hallowed concert hall might just combust”. -The Guardian
